Musim peperiksaan tamat

Musim peperiksaan sudah tamat. “Merdeka” juga akhirnya. Ehehe. Sekarang aku dah tak nak fokus kepada pelajaran. Dah mula terasa bahang musim panas di Mesir. Apa ya perancangan untuk musim panas? Menziarah makam nabi dan ulama, melawat piramid di Giza, atau mencari syeikh untuk mendalami ilmu?

Ehem, tidur lagi best kot.

    Assalamualaikum. I have some sort of a problem. Could you give me some sort of an advice?

    I’ve finished my SPM last year (2007) and was awarded with good result for my hard work. I’ve received 2 offers to study in medicine at different places. One is a loan from Yayasan Pahang (YP) to further my studies in Egypt while another one is also a loan from MARA to undergo A-Level in Kolej Teknologi Timur (KTT) and then going to UK, Australia and such.

    My problem is that I wish to study in Egypt because I think that admist all that studying to become a good doctor, I could also pick up on arabic languages and learn more about the Quran, maybe memorizing all 30 juzu’, insyaAllah. You could say that by going there, I’m hoping to obtain both ilmu dunia and akhirat.

    Although my parents understand that, they would still rather me to go to Europe, thus choosing the MARA loan because they think that the university/college overseas are well-established than the ones in Egypt. Also, in terms of finance, MARA is better than YP.

    Which one should I choose?

    I hope that you can reply me back ASAP. I figured that since you’re studying in Egypt, you must’ve known the pro and con of going there to further study. If possible, I would like you to tell a bit about life as a student in Egypt. I’m extremely thankful for your words of advice.
